General Appearance: A robust and powerful dog, showing great strength, agility, confidence, and endurance.

Size, Proportion, and Substance: Height-males, 24 to 27 inches at the withers; females, 22 to 25 inches.

Background: Bred from the Mastiff type breeds, the Rotti is a natural guard dog. Loyal and protective of family, the Rotts temperament ranges from outgoing to aloof, depending largely upon socialization as a puppy. Rottweilers rank among the top ten breeds in trainability, but require a serious handler with prior dog experience. They will take advantage of unconfident or fearful owners.
