General Appearance: A large boned, massive animal of impressive appearance. Coat is short and dense, hard in texture. Colors include black, blue, gray, brown and brindle.

Size, Proportion, and Substance: Height-26 to 29 inches. Weight-no less than 110 to 154 lbs.

Background: Neos are strong dogs with dominant personalities. Neos respond well to one owner, but will take advantage of an inexperienced owner not persistent with training. Neos are extremely loyal but are not recommended for households with children due to their immense size. The Neapolitan Mastiff was bred for protection, and is suspicious of strangers and other dogs. Socialization is a must for all Neo pups. Due to their vast size, over exercising is discouraged, and slow steady growth is the key to good health.
