General Appearance: Similar to the Greyhound, but much smaller and more slender; an ideal of elegance and grace.

Size, Proportion, and Substance: Height-13 to 15 inches at the withers.

Background: The Italian Greyhound is a good family dog, though it may bond more closely with one person. Small and athletic, the Italian Greyhound is suitable for apartment life, though he enjoys playing outdoors in mild weather. Italian Greyhounds are fond of children, but due to their tiny size and fragile nature interaction with young children should be monitored closely. His short coat requires little grooming, but offers no protection from the cold.
