General Appearance: The Dalmatian has a smooth top line with a deep chest and nicely arched neck. They have a short, glossy coat of white with black or liver spots.

Size, Proportion, and Substance: Height: 19 - 23 inches Weight: 50 - 65 Pounds

Background: Dalmatians are extremely affectionate and delightfully clown-like. They are adaptable to both city and country life if properly trained and disciplined. They should never be kept as an outdoor dog as they crave constant attention from their family. Due to their rambunctious nature Dalmatians are best suited to homes without small children.
